Description
Gopalpur region in Odisha became the home for weavers from Nadia district of West Bengal few cenruties back. The sarees are named after the place of production, Gopalpur in Jajpur district. The tussar cocoons in this area are procured from Serifed. The threads from these cocoons are handmade. The ghicha thread are the thicker threads that is produced because of many factors. These are rough and give a raw look and earthy feeling.
